The new fall-winter shows celebrate the timeless elegance of the coolest colors that aren’t colors. The fashion world’s homage to this king is reflected in classic long dresses, short black dresses, and bodycon jumpsuit designs, all in black.
With new blends of fabrics and materials, and with embellishments such as precious embroidery or graphic details, the ‘Back to Black’ trend seeks to define the limits of height and stress its beauty.
Among the most daring interpreters of all-black is Pierpaolo Piccioli, who conceived the Valentino collection and created it with a radical move. He reduced the choice of colors to one shade, maximizing their expressive potential.
