Florence Pugh and Valentino have collaborated on some truly iconic ensembles in recent years (remember the Venice Film Festival or her memorable mesh skirt and thong combo?). And once again, on Wednesday, the actress and fashion house delivered a striking display of summer pastels at the Valentino Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2023/2024 show.
Pugh made her entrance at the picturesque Château de Chantilly in Paris donning a sheer lilac chiffon dress with a plunging neckline, adorned with ruffled shoulders, a dramatic black bow at the back, and a flowing skirt that danced with the breeze. Underneath the transparent ensemble, she opted for a daring choice, wearing a black thong that coordinated with the platform heels peeping out from beneath the floor-skimming gown. Complementing the look, she accessorized with a leather handbag in a matching shade, two rings, and delicate hoop and stud earrings.
While the attention-grabbing dress undoubtedly turned heads, it was Pugh's hair that added an extra dose of intrigue. The tips of her grown-out blonde buzzcut were dyed a vibrant pink hue. Though the inspiration behind this fresh color remains a mystery, it appears that even the industry's biggest stars have been influenced by the allure of the Barbie film.
Pugh confidently showcased this summer-ready ensemble in front of the stunning backdrop of the historic château, expertly posing for the flashing cameras. Before heading into the show, she also joined actress Naomi Ackie for a photo, who sported a cropped blazer and a button-up shirt with a tie, paired with matching trousers.
