Gisele Bündchen is making a triumphant return to her role as an angel in a brand-new Victoria's Secret campaign. Although the angel concept was officially retired by the company during a rebrand in 2021, Bündchen is symbolically donning her wings once more for VS's latest campaign, aptly named The Icon collection.
In the campaign visuals, iconic angels including Bündchen, Naomi Campbell, Adriana Lima, and Candice Swanepoel, unite with a new generation of models who have embraced the mantle as the fresh faces of the brand. This youthful brigade consists of Emily Ratajkowski, Adut Akech, Hailey Bieber, Paloma Elsesser, and Sui He.
The photoshoot, masterfully captured by renowned photographer Mikael Jansson and impeccably styled by Camilla Nickerson, features both the veteran and rookie VS models showcasing the Push-Up Demi Bra, alongside other pieces from the collection. In a captivating black-and-white shot, Bündchen radiates elegance as she models a black demi-cup bra adorned with metal hardware, complemented by matching underwear. Her honey blonde locks cascade in effortless beach waves, perfectly complemented by understated makeup.
Janie Schaffer, Chief Design Officer at Victoria's Secret, expressed enthusiasm about the launch of The Icon by Victoria's Secret collection, stating, “The collection was crafted to enhance one's natural contours while preserving the supportive and seamless aesthetic that we hold dear. This thrilling, elevated collection is an excellent addition to your wardrobe, all the while celebrating the fact that we are all icons.”
According to a press release from Victoria's Secret, a selection of talent from The Icon photoshoot will also partake in the newly unveiled Victoria's Secret World Tour, intended to take the place of the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show which had taken a hiatus for several years. The Tour will blend elements of a spectacular fashion event with the allure of a documentary, offering a unique and multifaceted experience.
